Vacation Rental Description

Our Homestead Cabin is a special cabin we built for ourselves for weekending when our kids were young and we still lived in town. It's not the typical "boxes all in a row" rental cabin. Don't look for TV and wall-to-wall carpet, but it does have personalized touches- books and games, antique pioneer objects. There's wildlife right outside the door, and where else can you see 10O miles from the window!

Full breakfast is included. Our cabin guests join the other guests at the main house for breakfast.

The Homestead Cabin has a first floor separate bedroom with a queen size bed and a second floor loft with two double beds. It has a kitchen, and utensils and linens are supplied. There is a shower bath. As of this writing it's available xxxxxxxxxx. The rate is $160 per night for two, with a $25 per night charge for each extra person.

Area Description

The eastern side of the Big Horn Mountains was known to the Crow Indians as "Bot Sots", "The Best Country". It is still highly valued today and is occupied by some of the finest ranches in the west. It is known for registered cattle, quality horses, excellent grasslands, wonderful climate, and most of all, for the people who love and protect it.

The Sheridan community values its ranching history and remains committed to preserving the ranching lifestyle. Equine activities are numerous, with a strong national and international polo consortium, traditional cowboy activities (roping, rodeo, etc.), and English-oriented events. The Big Horn Equestrian Center is a magnet for horse people from all over the world.

Home to some of the original famous dude ranches, the Sheridan/Buffalo area still draws families from all over who come to the Big Horn Mountains for summer and fall
