Area DescriptionBristol is located 19 minutes from the house. The house is on South Holston Lake which is a 23 mi. long green water lake with fishing, boating and cliff jumping activites. Claim your private island for a day or fish for trout in the rushing waters around S. Holston river near wiers aeration dam.
Bristol City is the home of Couuntry Music with a downtown life located on Historic State St. Country music is played regularly on outdoor stages or Border Bashes in the middle of the street. A Sept 14 music festival every year features big name Blue Grass and Country singers in the middle of the downtown streets 2 shows at a time Fri to Sunday. Bristol Motor Speedway runs often with the main races around March 23 and Aug. 24 of each year. People love what the area offers including historic sites and towns Saltville ,Abingdon Jonesborough, Greenville, Crocket Birth place, Rocky Mtn Pioneer farm, Fort Sycamore Shoals( Kings Mtn Men).
