Vacation Rental Description
Tranquility is our two bedroom, two bath condominium equipped with all the amenities of home for your convenience. Tranquility in Cedar Key is a corner villa on the third floor, providing you with plenty of privacy.
Our private balcony (with bar height table and 6 chairs) offers a stunning view of small mangrove islands, Wacassassa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the sunrise year 'round. Sip a drink while watching the summer sunsets. Breakfast on the balcony offers incredible views of birds, fishing boats, kayakers, and the ever-changing sky and sea in Cedar Key. Dinners on the balcony is a treat with the breezes and sunset colors.
In particular, we've tried to accommodate professionals, who must stay in touch with business. We know from personal experience that it's much easier to relax on your vacation if you can keep in touch with the outside world. Free DSL (wired and WiFi), computer, large monitor, keyboard, and printer/fax/scanner are available for guest use. Just plug in your laptop and go!
Area DescriptionCedar Key Florida is surrounded by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The "Cedar Keys" are made up of dozens of small to large islands - twelve of these islands are reserved as a part of the Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge. Several are designated as "wilderness areas" and are home to some of the largest flocks of nesting birds in FL. The variety of birds is excellent year round - if you'd like to see a list of common birds, checkout our website!
Cedar Key is old Florida at its best. There are no chain stores and most "traffic" is on foot, golf carts, or boats being launched at the marina. The marina (1.5 blocks) offers boat and kayak rentals. We'd be happy to recommend some knowledgeable tour operators to take you on a wildlife tour. Bicycle and golf cart rentals are also available.
Fishing is a favorite: redfish, sea trout, grouper, spanish mackerel and whiting being the primary catch. We offer boat parking on site. We don't have a dock - sorry. Slip space is available from the city marina or private marinas. Most guests park their trailer/boat and put in at the marina each day.
