RED MILL COTTAGE is a furnished vacation rental in the hills of western PA. Over 40 acres of unposted private property are bordered by more than 8300 acres of PA Gamelands #79. Prime areas to hunt & fish. You can hike, bike & cross-country ski on the rail-trail or thru the woods. The Ghost Town Trail is only 500 ft. away for quick, easy access to over 24 miles of trail. The area is rich in historical sites & great for Antique shopping. We're heated & open year-round with something for everyone to enjoy! The cottage contains all you need for great vacation. We provide all linens, dishes, cutlery, cookware, toaster, microwave, electric range, & coffeemaker. We also provide coffee, tea, creamer & sugar along with a loaf of bread & jar of home made jam to get you started.

Area Description

AVAILABLE ACTIVITIES: HUNTING-Property borders PA Gamelands #79 consisting of more than 8300 acres open to the public. Access to over 40 acres of unposted private property available. All located in Wildlife Management Unit 2C. FISHING-Three streams within easy walk of the cottage: Two contain Wild Native Brook Trout & one has hold-over stocked trout. HIKING-BIKING-CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: 24 mile Ghost-Town Trail from Ebensburg to Dilltown & 4.5 mile Rexis Branch from Vintondale to Rt. 422 located only 500 ft from the cottage or through wooded areas (bring your own equipment).

Rental Rates Summary

Weekly stays need not start or end on weekend. Rates are $55/day or $300/week with exception of 1st week of antlered deer rifle season. Holidays have minimum stays. Smoking & Pets outside only. Customers can pay with PAYPAL. Credit Cards accepted via online only.
