Vacation Rental Description
36 Glan Gors self catering apartment is a pleasant non-smoking, ground floor holiday home set on a well spaced estate in the historic town of Harlech in the Snowdonia National Park, surrounded by communal lawns. As well as being a holiday rental it is our own holiday home which we use frequently and we have tried to make it a home from home. Ideal for families and couples the ground floor property sleeps up to five people in 3 comfortable bedrooms (1 king, 1 double & 1 single). The property has a spacious lounge/dining area and well equipped kitchen, ideal for the self catering visitor. In the warmer months enjoy sitting out in the gardens and admire the spectacular views of the hills above Harlech.
It is within walking distance of a selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Harlech beach is a stroll away & is ideal for families with children as it is sandy broad and safe. Locally there are several other large sandy beaches. Royal St David's golf course is about a five minute walk away and those whose handicap meets the club's requirements can play golf in stunning surroundings. The area is excellent for walkers of all abilities, either in the heart of Snowdonia or on the Rhinogydd a few miles behind Harlech. For those wanting to tour and looking for a bit of history there are beautiful castles in the area including the nearby Harlech Castle.
Our ground floor apartment provides easy access ideal for those who are less mobile. The lounge/dining area has plenty of comfortable seating freeview television, DVD & video player. There is a selection of videos, DVDs, books, cards, & board games. The fully equipped kitchen has a new electric cooker, microwave, fridge & washing machine. There is more than enough crockery and cutlery for 5 people. We provide bedding, towels & tea towels, but if you prefer to bring your own we will deduct 10% from the rental price. Electricity is included in the cost of the rental.
We are happy to take a well behaved adult dog so long as the owners bring its own bed & don't allow it onto chairs or beds.
Area DescriptionAlthough it is designated as a town, Harlech is village sized and is situated between the sea and the mountains in a rural area in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. It has a beach which is second to none, being long, wide, sandy and safe. The area is ideal for walkers, sight-seeing, beach holidays and for golfers.
