Vacation Rental Description
THIS IS NOT AN ORDINARY VACATION CONDO - IT IS OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME, AND IS EQUIPPED AND CARED FOR AS SUCH. We and our family spend time in the condo throughout each year and have furnished, equipped and decorated it to the high standard we wish to enjoy. If you come stay here it is that comfort you will be sharing.
Our condo is a very spacious (1650 sq ft), fully air-conditioned, THREE BEDROOM apartment with private direct beach access and a shared pool which is heated in the summer months. It was built in 2000, and has recently been completely refurnished and redecorated. Its location is marked in text on the main picture above.
It sleeps six in one king (en-suite) bedroom, one double, and one twin bedrooms. Every bedroom has cable TV, hi-fi, and phone. The king bedroom also has a DVD player.
The king bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with WC, bath, washbasin, and separate shower cubicle. In addition it has a large walk-in wardrobe/cupboard room.
The main accommodation area provides seating for six on a new leather corner sofa unit and a leather recliner. There is a large cable TV, with DVD, and a surround sound cinema unit which also plays CDs.
There is a PC with printer, which provides broadband internet access for our guests.
The dining area seats six around a large formal table. There is ample cupboard and drawer space.
The living accommodation and bedrooms have been tastefully furnished with pictures, paintings, and more than ample lighting provided by table and reading lamps. There are overhead fans in all bedrooms and in the living areas. The accommodation is carpeted and tiled throughout.
There is additional seating for six in the fully equipped luxury kitchen area which has a large work surface and is complete with self cleaning range/cooker, a microwave, and a fridge/freezer with ice-maker. The kitchen also has a full range of cooking utensils and a full range of crockery and cutlery for at least six people. There is also a food mixer, a coffee maker and a blender.
The main house bathroom is conveniently situated between the twin and double bedrooms and has a bath/shower with sliding screens, WC, and wash basin. There is a further cloakroom facility with WC and wash basin in the utility corridor which also contains a washer and a separate tumble dryer together with iron and ironing board.
The condo is 1650 square feet in size and has two balconies - one which catches the sun beautifully in the afternoon and has two reclining chairs, two seats, and two tables and provides partial sea and beach view. The other balcony is at the other end of the condo and is equipped with two seats.
The condo is an upper level unit in a block of two which stand above their own exclusive covered parking with space for two cars for each unit. Parking permits will be provided.
Area Description


The Gulf Coast beach resorts have many attractions and Indian Rocks Beach is no different!
The Condo is close to a great variety of fine restaurants and small local shops. Within five minutes drive there is a larger range of shops at Belleaire Bluffs - including Albertsons.
Nearby the condo are Golf Courses, Miniature Golf, Tennis Courts, and a Skateboarding Park. On the beach there is of course swimming, boating, shelling, beach-walking and occasionally surfing.
At nearby Largo Mall you will find Juicy Tomato, Marshalls Discount Store - and a multi screen cinema.
Further afield there is Tyrone Mall with its large shopping area including JC Penney, Dillard, Burdine and Sears together with a multi screen cinema.
Clearwater Beach and its tourist attractions are only a ten minute drive away. There you will find a wide range of dining and plenty of opportunity to take to the waters of the Gulf or the IntraCoastal Waterway where you can fish, watch dolphins, waterski, parasail, .......
........................ or just relax and watch the sun go down!
In nearby St Petersburg there is a pier with a range of shoppping and an aquarium which is well worth a visit - and nearby to that are a fine range of museums and art galleries - including the world famous Dali Exhibition.
Looking farther afield to Tampa the shopping includes Saks Fifth Avenue and a mulitude of opportunities to empty your bank account at International Mall.
Tampa also hosts Busch Gardens Theme Park and Water Park while Orlando - about a 2 1/2 hour drive - has Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM Studios as well as Water Parks galore. There you will also find Universal Studios and Wet and Wild.
For serious shoppers there is a large outlets complex at Ellenton - about 45 minutes drive south of Indian Rocks Beach - which has a huge range of shops including Saks Off Fifth. There are larger outlets in Orlando of course - including International Drive.
After a day out you can enjoy range of fine dining within minutes drive of the condo - including Guppy's (which is only two blocks away); Crabby Bill's ; The Salt Rock Grill; My Place; PJ's - and The Wine Cellar with its wonderful Monday Night Buffet.
One of our local favourites is PJ's Oyster Bar - just off Gulf Boulevard. Go south from the condo and turn left at the traffic lights at the BP gas station onto Ulmerton and it's first on the left - down the first street on the left immediately after you turn into Ulmerton. The food is good - and it's not just seafood - and the service is friendly and prices reasonable. It gets busy though so be prepared for a wait at peak times.

You should also try the
Casa Tina
Mexican restaurant in Dunedin - a 20 minute drive from the condo. It is said to have the finest Mexican food in the Tampa area and we would agree. The "Mole Poblane" - chicken with chocolate and chillies - is particularly delicious - and we also loved the Goat's Cheese Crepes. The restuarant also serves vegetarian food. Give it a try!
