Exceptional Oceanfront Home on the Mendocino Coast. The Beach House accommodates up to 7 guests including infants and children, features a masater suite and adjacent officespace, two guest bedrooms with guest bath, a fully equipped kitchen with ocean views and a laundry area with washer and dryer.
The home is surrounded by decks, and nesled on a bluff overlooking the pacific ocean, with 180 degree panoramic views of sandy beaches and the Point Arena Lighthouse. Eight sliding glass doors, with views of the ocean and lighthouse, surround and open living, dining and kitchen area.
A unique circular hanging fireplace enhances this sun-drenched central area. You will find a generous supply of games and books, a tape deck, VCR/DVD, electric piano and outdoor grill.
Easy access to a long sandy walking beach, which is available by foot or car, with tide pools, climbing rocks, and surf fishing. A short walk from the house leads to a small trout pond (catch and release) with a picnic area.
A well stocked general store is located 3 miles to the south in Manchester and there is a small store in Elk, 9 miles to the North.
Elk also offers a pub and restaurants. The village of Mendocino is 25 miles to the north and Gualala (near Sea Ranch) is 25 miles to the south.
Area Description
The wild Mendocino Coast is home to many types of fish, fowl and animal life.
Noted for whale watching at migration time, the deck provides excellent viewing twice a year.
Many galleries and general stores provide great vacation browsing and
hiking trails are abundant and easily accessable.
