Vacation Rental Description
The cottage is situated in the owners field,about 200meters from the owners house, fenced in and completly private and secure.The ground floor consists of one room. With fully fitted kitchen, oven, electric hob, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, iron, all necessary crockery, cutlery and cooking untensils, with plenty of cuboard space.The dining table and chairs allow for a very comfortable meal for 4, there is also comfortable seating for relaxing.The sofa converting to a double bed. Also in the lounge area there is , DVD player, HiFi, Playstation. There is an open firewhich supplements the electric heating in the winter months. The first floor has a double fully furnished bedroom. Leading of this is a fullsized bathroom, with overbath shower, WC, washbasin and a washing machine.(THERE IS A BABIES COT AVAILABLE but we do Not provide the babies bedding). We provide, included in the price, all bedding, linen, towels and the cost of electricity.......there are No hidden extras...........the price you see is the price you pay ! We have a games room available with Pool Table, Electronic Darts and Football Table. With well stocked bar, providing a very comfortable area for those late summer nights or chilly winter evenings. Access to the games room is only during the owners presence and children must be supervised at all times. We have been running the cottage over seven years and have only had delighted guests. Always leaving positive feedback and fond memories, many making repeated visits.
Area DescriptionSituated in the heart of the Pays D'Auge region of Calvados, 2kms outside the medieval town of Orbec, our holiday home sits in the calm countryside of Normandy. Often the immediate neighbourghs being 4 or 5 cows! In Orbec you will find all the necessary shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The towns of Lisieux(23kms) and Bernay(18kms) have excellent rail links for a day out in Paris (just over an hour). We have many cycleways and footpaths on our doorstep and its only 10mins away from Trout and Carp fishing lakes (where you can even hire the rods). It is only a short hop(50KMS)to the coastal towns of Honfleur,Deauville,Trouville and Cabourg with their splendid sandy beaches. Drive a little further and you are in the heart of the D-Day Landing beaches. The nearest golf couse is 18kms away, but for a real treat try the Champs de Battaille at Le Neubourg.........highly recommended by the Daily Telegraph. Calvados has a rich selection of local products to try out. The cider and Calvados Brandy are a must as well as our local cheeses of Camembert, Pont l'Eveque and Livarot. Speciality meals of the region include cream and apple sauces can be found served in most restaurants in the area (or even ordered from the owner, who is well known in the region for her culinary talents).

All bookings should include a £50.00 non-returnable deposit with the balance payable 6 weeks before the holiday.If the booking is made within 6 weeks of your holiday then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.A £50.00 returnable deposit will also be paid on arrival.Stirling or Euro cheques are accepted.Bank to bank payments are possilble on the internet if you have internet banking facilities.Please request details.
