Playa Las Tortugas is a planned residential community situated on an eight kilometer stretch of undeveloped beach. The homes are nestled among standing palms with unsurpassed views and access to the beach and ocean. It is located approximately one and a half hours north of Puerto Vallarta in the state of Nayarit.

Our home is in an unspoiled, non-commercial paradise. It's a Non-Smoking property that adjoins a saltwater estuary which is an amazing place to play, swim, and explore. The bird life is phenomenal. There is also a turtle sanctuary on the beach. During certain times of the year the turtles are laying eggs and hatchlings are protected and released into the sea.

If your idea of a vacation is peace and quite in an environment rich in natural beauty and serenity then look no further.

Villa Puesta del Sol is a charming villa offering all the amenities of home. Just steps from the pool and 150 feet from the beach every thing you need is just a moment from your door step. Transportation and meal plans can be arranged.

Imagine a place where you have no noise from automobiles or airplanes, no residual light from population centers. The sounds of the ocean and a sky so brilliant that it seems you can touch the stars.

Spend your days walking on the beach, sun tanning, kayaking, buggy boarding, surfing, or just sitting by the pool with a cool drink. And talk about a great place for kids. Put on the sunscreen and it's off to the beach. It is amazing how much enjoyment the beach can provide.

Area Description

Playa Las Tortugas lies on the west coast of Mexico just 70 miles north of Puerto Vallarta and the Bay of Banderas, in the "Riviera Nayarit", in a setting with miles of sandy beach on our west and hundreds of acres of mangrove estuary on our east, nesting habitat for sea turtles and more than 125 species of birds.

Your scenic drive north through areas of old-growth jungle which border the coast is simply spectacular. Before arriving you might select a variety of fresh fruits and coconut products in stands along the road. Optionally we can arrange for transportation for you to and from the airport, and meals prepared by our wonderful cooks can be arranged.
