Lovely house  w a wrap around porch and  full lawn on a country road - 2 bd. rm, 1.5 bath, hard wood floors, high ceiling w full amenities -and  a nice country kitchen. Central AC and heating.  A wonderful place for a true get-away.  The house sits yards from the creek in a gentle valley which keeps it cool in summer. Built my my grandfather and grandmother the house has all the wonderful surroundings of field, stream, and woods. It is close to town, dining, and local outdoor sprots - kyaking, canoeing, golf, etc.

Area Description

The house sits on the Blue Ridge Mountains one mile from Virginia, 1 hr. from Tennessee with many areas to explore like the Virginia Creeper Trail - a mountain bike path described as the prettiest mountain bike trail you can ever take, Grayson Highlands where wild ponies run at 5k+ elevation - another wonderful place to hike. We are close to the New River with kyaking and canoeing.

Buffalo Creek Weavers offers a tour of their 19th century looms in action weaving the most intricate patterns for bed spreads and throws.

Antique stores and country living are all in comfortable driving distances - take a day trip to Grandfather Mountain - return to your privace of the Carolina Mountain house.
