Toucan House is a tropical delight with a brand new kitchen, newer baths, all new furniture and every amenity you could wish for. Walk to the best beach on the island or sit on the oversized lanai and relax. This is the perfect island accomodation for travelers with a high need for cleanliness, comfort and convenience and yet still so affordable. Area Description
This tropical neighborhood is located close to the best beach on Sanibel for shell collecting and wild life viewing. The walk from Toucan House to the beach takes 6 minutes with no streets to cross.
Sanibel Island is three-quarters nature preserve with an amazing array of birds and wild life. One of the entrances to the nature preserve, Ding Darling, is only a 2 minute walk from the complex. The 12 mile island is threaded with walking, biking, roller blading paths. There are several small shopping areas throughout Sanibel and dozens of restaurants.
You are able to swim, sail, snorkel, power sail, golf, bike, explore and discover on Sanibel Island. At night, there are several options for entertainment including a jazz club, a sports bar, a movie theater and Big Arts, a center for lectures, plays, concerts and other forms of education and entertainment. If you need more to do and see, off island there are miniature golf courses, games and rides and more restaurants and shops. Naples, a bustling town, is only 25 minutes off island.
