Gasparilla Villa is tucked into mangroves and palms on the bay side of a quiet bridgeless barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico next to Boca Grande. It is between Englewood and Sanibel Island next to Boca Grande.

The Boca Grande area is world famous for its quality fishing and hosts one of the finest backwater flats in Florida. With a choice of bay fishing, surf and deep sea fishing, almost anything goes. Test your skills fishing for tarpon, snook, redfish, mullet, mackerel,red snapper and grouper. Gasparilla Villa has its own private dock,a newly expanded deck with shaded fish cleaning table and lots of freezer space. Leave your fishing gear on the boat.

For the beach comber, there are miles and miles of almost deserted pristine beach front with no condos, stores or gift shops. Abundant shells await with swimming and shore birds only a three minute walk away. At sunset, it is an island tradition to always be on the beach with your favorite beverage to watch the dramatic show and to try to spot the elusive green flash.

Snorkel, kayak, canoe or sail in the waters that surround the island. Rent a golf cart and explore the miles of nature trails and roads. There is even a local captain that will give you and your guests a scenic tour. There are several excellent restaurants available by water taxi or your own boat for some of the finest seafood on the Gulf Coast. Numerous golf courses surround the area on the mainland.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted by your personal island mate who will acquaint you with the Villa and the Island. Your island mate will be available all week to meet your needs.

Please Note: The house is two stories with the top story being the main living area. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a fold out couch. The third bedroom is located in the cottage which is immediately adjacent to the Villa. The cottage has a fold out couch along with a TV/VCR/DVD, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. There is a full bath located in the downstairs of the main house for the cottage. The bottom story of the main house has a large screened in room with sitting/play area and a large table that seats 8.

There are four kayaks available for your use with seats, paddles and kayak vests. There is a jon boat, canoe and a 14' Sunfish sailboat available if you have sailing experience.

Broadband Internet Access, reverse osmosis water system, new propane grill.

Area Description

Near Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande Pass.  Little Gasparilla Island is a bridgeless barrier island just west of Placida, Fl.

 Boating, fishing, deep sea fishing, nearby golf courses, island golf cart rental, nearby restaurants, swimming, kayak rental, canoeing, adjacent to Don Pedro State Park, VCR/DVD movies, games, puzzles, kayak and boat rentals, fishing guides, tour boats, fish market. Explore miles of narrow roads/nature trails by foot or golf cart.

Bird and butterfly watching, native plant study, tidal flat study are all at hand. Binoculars available on site.

Extra large refrigerator with freezer for drinks, overflow food and frozen bait is located downstairs. Bait buckets, two bait seins, life jackets are all available. An 8' and 12' cast net available upon request.

14' Sunfish Sailboat available for those with sailing experience.
