This lovely two-story log cabin is an easy one-hour drive from Baltimore and Washington, DC. Nestled deep in the Maryland woods--literally steps from Cunningham Falls State Park--you'll find it hard to believe you're mere minutes from conveniences like the Frederick Mall, movie theaters, and fine dining!

Area Description

If nature is not what you are looking for, there are shopping malls and movie theaters nearby. A few minutes more and you can sightsee at places like Gettysburg, Harper's Ferry, or one of many other great Civil War locations. The Washington Monument and the Baltimore Inner Harbor are just a short drive. There are three TV's, DVD Player, VCR, CD Players, and Computers. Also, there is a regulation Pool Table, Air Hockey, Foosball, Darts, and more to keep the young at heart entertained. The fully-stocked gourmet kitchen is right next to the Greatroom with a 23 foot tall stone woodburning fireplace and entertainment area. When it's cold outside, there is nothing like a roaring fire in our Log Cabin and there are tons of firewood for your enjoyment. There's even a grate so you can cook like the settlers did (kids of all ages love this). The large porch and grilling deck feature a spectacular view for simply relaxing.

Living Area

Engage in a rousing game of darts, pool, or air hockey in the fully-finished family room. Or would you prefer to snuggle up under an afghan in the living room, listening to your favorite tunes on the CD? Catch up on phone calls, write a letter to Grandma on the computer, read one of the 'old classics' that line the bookshelves, or settle into a rustic chair on the huge covered porch, sipping a cup of the tea, using the kitchen's nifty Instant-Hot.

Kitchen Facilities

Whip up a hearty breakfast in the gourmet kitchen, simmer a rib-sticking stew in the enormous Maryland-stone fireplace, roast weenies on the gas grill, or microwave some popcorn...and munch it while watching movies on the DVD Player or VCR.
