Area Description
The town of Bloubergstrand is famous for its picture postcard view of Table Mountain, endless white sand beaches and as the kite surfing capital of the world. "Osborne" is situated in one of the very best locations in town. You are directly on the water, with nothing between you and the beach except a walking path.
Travel time from your front door to sand is under 60 seconds.
The view from Osborne is the best in town. The photos you see here are not "stock" photos from a tourist website. I took them, from right in front of the house. You have full, magnificent and unobstructed views of Table Mountain, Robben Island and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean.
Located in a low-traffic residential area, the house is something special. It is a 1960's contemporary design by Revel Fox, arguably South Africa's most renowned architect.
Bloubergstrand is a great area in which to stay whether visiting Cape Town or touring the Western Cape. You are minutes from great golf, tennis and several health clubs. You have great dining easy walking distance, including the Blue Peter
(great for drinks, too), Ons Huisie (Our Little House) and On the Rocks. Check them out online.
Others a short drive away.
Canal Walk, the largest shopping area in the
Western Cape, is 20 minutes away.
You are 20-25 minutes from the center of
Cape Town, and all of its attractions.
You are 30-40 minutes to the fabulous beaches
at Clifton and Camps Bay, to the sports venues,
and the wine routes.
