Strand, is a seaside resort town situated on the eastern edge of False Bay between Maccasser and Gordons Bay, about 50 km southeast of Cape Town. It is 10 km away from the inland town of Somerset West. It has great views of the Cape Peninsula and kilometers of soft white sandy beaches, warmer Indian Ocean water and safe bathing fine beaches. Strand is ideally located for golfers with a number of excellent local courses nearby ,Erinvale Golf Course and Arabella. Watersports availible are surfing,windsurfing,rubber duck and jet sking.
