Q: Can I have a link to my own website listed on S2S?

Yes! You will be able to add links to your personal website during the List A Rental process . This is a great way to provide even more helpful information to potential renters.

Q: Can I post a trade for my rental with another homeowner’s rental?

Yes!  First you need to List A Rental with Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals and choose list your property in the Trade Room during the sign up process.  If you've already done this just go to the Member's Only Trade Room, find a property you want to trade with and send the owner an inquiry.

Q: Can I view past inquires?

Yes! Go into Member's Area, enter in your user name and password, and click on “View inquires” to see all inquires that have been made on your property since you became a member.

Q: Can property managers list single or multiple properties with you?

With Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals property managers and/or owners can list as many vacation rental properties as desired. The more listings you have the more exposure you'll get, and Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals is the only site offering huge discounts for multiple listings, see our Rates.

Q: How can I edit or update my listing?

You can edit or update your listing at any time. Simply log on to the Member's Area with your user name and password, and click on the property that you would like to edit.

Q: How can I print a receipt?

After submitting your listing and payment option information online, there will be a receipt that you can print for your records.

Q: How do I post the photographs onto my listing?

The best and easiest way to add your photos is to do it while you are adding a property. We have an “upload photo” button that you push and it will prompt you to choose the photo from your computer. Of course it helps to have digital photos already downloaded onto your computer, and know how to find them when prompted. If this method doesn’t work for you, you may email us photos at s2s@sea2skyvacationrentals.com and we will add them to your listing. Please be sure to include your listing #. We strongly recommend you take good quality digital photos, and ask the help of a friend if you’re not sure how to download them onto a computer.

Q: How do you sort the listing order?

At Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals our default sort order is by location and date added, therefore it is of tremendous benefit to become a member and stay a member to maintain your placement in our listing of properties.   Users can also use many other sorting options or the Advanced Search to narrow down the search.

Q: How is Sea2Sky Rentals different from other vacation rental sites?

Q: I am a homeowner. How do I list my property?

To create a listing on Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals, start by clicking List A Rental and follow the simple instructions on the pages provided.  It should take approximately 20-30 minutes to list your property and upload photos.

 

Q: I am already a member on a different vacation rental site. Should I list with you too?

At Sea2Sky Rentals, our goal is to minimize your cost and maximize your rents. Therefore, we feel the more exposure you have, the better. Our advertising and marketing team works hard to bring vacationers to our site.

Q: If I am in the middle of creating my ad and I get disconnected what should I do?

At Sea2Sky Vaction Rentals your information is saved during the listing process everytime you click "quick save".  If for some reason you are disconnected or need to leave during the sign up process, save your data and come back later to the Member Login to edit or complete your listing.

Q: Is there someone I can talk to in person on the phone if I am having trouble on the Internet?

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals accepts all major forms of credit cards, and you can pay for your listing without ever leaving the website. This process takes place when listing a property. We take your personal identity very seriously and use the highest level of on-line security.

Q: What is the maximum number of photos I can include? Does it cost more for extra photos?

Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals offers unlimited photos for your listing.  We encourage you to use as many as you need to effectively market your vacation rental property.

Q: What is the Trade Room?

The trade room is a free way for members who are interested in trading their vacation rental with other members worldwide. While adding a property to Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals, you will be asked if you would be interested in adding your property to the trade room. You can add your property to the trade room at a later date as well. This is a cost-effective way for homeowners to travel and see the world.

Q: What should a property listing include?

The more details the better! Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals has a checklist already in place for you to check all of the amenities that apply to your property, however, we encourage you to “sell” and highlight your property in the property description field with as much information that you would like to share. You should also include such information as rates, dates of availability, and quality photos!

Q: What should I do if I forget my member password?

From the Member's Login, click on reset password, and we will email you the information shortly. We advise our members to write it down and keep it in a safe place.

Q: What size photos and format do you accept?

Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals has an auto format which will resize digital photos to best fit on your listing. The best size photos for clarity is typically the smallest setting on your camera.  If you encounter any problems uploading photos during the property listing process, you can email us photos for your listing and we can add them for you.

Q: How much does it cost to list one property? Do you give discounts for multiple properties?

At Sea2Sky Rentals, we strive to offer the most cost-effective form of advertising available. Our rates may vary, so please visit our Rates page. 

Q: Do you have to be a member to use Sea2Sky Rentals?

Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals is a free site for all vacationers to find their ideal vacation rental property! The only cost is for home owners/property managers that would like to list and advertise their property with us. We charge a yearly membership fee for this service. Q: How can I obtain detailed information about a property that I am interested in?

As you are navigating through Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals and you find a property that you are interested in, first click on that property. The full details will be displayed including photos.  If you would like further information that is not listed, either look for a link to the owner's website or contact the owner directly via email inquiry form or call them at the phone number they have provided.

Q: How do I find a vacation rental?

From the Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals home page, click on the maps to search by location or you may search by using our search box or advanced search. Once you have narrowed your search, you may brose the properties that best fit your needs, for example, by number of bedrooms, price, or proximity of interests. At that point, you will send the owner or property manager an email inquiry and communicate directly with them.

Q: How do I know my reservation is guaranteed?

Sea2Sky Vacation Rentals advises first and foremost that all vacationers use good judgment when booking a rental unit. Always ask for a signed rental agreement with detailed instructions regarding your stay including dates, rates, policies, etc.  It is always helpful to talk to the owner on the phone to make sure you feel comfortable from whom you are renting.  Be weary of sending money orders or cashiers check, and never send cash.  Most owners will take credit cards or personal checks.

Q: How do I know that the rental is legitimate?

Use good judgment! It is important to know whom you are dealing with. Ask the owner/property manager for references. They may also have a web site. When possible, it is always a good idea to see the property first before entering into a rental agreement. Sea2Sky rentals assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of advertisements on this website. S2S has not physically seen the properties nor met the owners/managers of the properties advertised on our website. It is the responsibility of the potential renter to thoroughly investigate each property including knowing the terms and conditions and all other policies. Please read our terms and conditions for more information.

Q: How do I pay for my rental?

When you contact the owner about availability and rates, ask at that time what type of payments they accept including a deposit. Most owners/property managers accept check, cashier check, money order, and/or credit cards.

Q: How do I reserve a property once I have found the one I like?

From the detailed page of any property, you will find the information necessary to contact the owner or property manager directly to inquire about available dates, rates, and rental agreement.

Q: In what order are properties displayed on your site?

Vacation rental properties are displayed first by location, secondly by date listed, oldest to newest. This will make it easy to sort through properties. We also have  several other filter options and an advanced search which enables you to view only exactly what you're looking for.

Q: Is it important to request a rental agreement and what type of information should be on there?

YES! It is very important to have a written contract containing information such as check-in and out times, dates of travel, payment information, contact person, who to call if there is a problem during your stay, details of how to obtain entry keys, directions, access codes, what to do when you leave, and terms and conditions.

Q: What is provided in a rental home and what should I bring?

Each homeowner/property manager decides what to provide for the guests. Most vacation homes are furnished and will provide what is needed to ensure a wonderful vacation. Furnished rentals typically include linens, towels, complete kitchens including appliances, dishes, etc. We recommend that after you have looked through the amenities checklist provided of what is included in the unit, that you also ask the owner/property manager any additional questions you may have about the vacation property.

Q: What type of deposits or final payments do most owners require and what is the policy on refunds/cancellations?

Each owner/property managers may have different policies. It is important to inquire about their terms and conditions regarding deposits, cancellations, and final payment due dates before entering into a rental agreement.
